Referrals

A referral is a recommendation from a Primary Care Provider (PCP) to a specialist to further your care. Your PCP and the specialist will communicate regarding your treatment and ensure you are receiving the best possible care. If the provider recommends that you see a specialist, please allow five business days for our staff to process this. Once we have faxed your information to the specialist, their office will contact you directly to schedule an appointment. Once the referral is obtained, their office must ensure that the diagnosis is related to their specialty/treatment being obtained and verify insurance coverage. If you have not heard from their office after 10 business days, please contact the referral specialist regarding the status of your referral..
